Independent medical evaluations (IMEs) are performed to address key medicolegal questions, including diagnosis, causation, appropriateness of treatment, impairment, prognosis, and future care needs. Evaluations are conducted in the context of the full medical record and clinical presentation, with integration of history, physical findings, and imaging where appropriate.

As an orthopaedic IME physician, Dr. Richard provides objective assessments based on established orthopaedic principles and current standards of care. Opinions are rendered within a reasonable degree of medical probability and are tailored to the specific legal issues in dispute.

Thorough medical record review is foundational to every case. This includes detailed analysis of clinical documentation, operative reports, diagnostic imaging, and treatment timelines. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying key clinical events, consistency of care, progression of symptoms, and potential areas of medical or factual dispute.
